Perhaps the best Quran English translation. It is clear, easy to read, and very faithful to the Arabic original. It closely follows the Arabic text, and often reminds the reader of the Arabic original. It uses today's English language, and today's English vocabulary, thus it is easy to read and understand. The flow is smooth, the sentence structure is simple, the meaning is clear.
This Quran translation has no interpretations, no footnotes, and no explanations. It is a pure translation of the Quran, from Arabic to English, and it does not try to emphasize any school of thought. The text purely and accurately translates the Holy Quran, from Arabic, into contemporary English.
It was translated by a Muslim, who saw firsthand the miracles inside the Quran. His native language is Arabic; his everyday language is American English. For 15 years, he studied the Quran. The translation is available in two editions. Edition A uses the word Allah to refer to the Creator. Edition B uses the word God. This is edition A.
Quran Sura 91. The Sun. ash-Shams.
In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
1. By the sun and its radiance.
2. And the moon as it follows it.
3. And the day as it reveals it.
4. And the night as it conceals it.
5. And the sky and He who built it.
6. And the earth and He who spread it.
7. And the soul and He who proportioned it.
8. And inspired it with its wickedness and its righteousness.
9. Successful is he who purifies it.
10. Failing is he who corrupts it.
11. Thamood denied in its pride.
12. When it followed its most wicked.
13. The messenger of Allah said to them, "This is the she-camel of Allah, so let her drink."
14. But they called him a liar, and hamstrung her. So their Lord crushed them for their sin, and leveled it.
15. And He does not fear its sequel.
The Quran is the last Book from the Creator. It contains guidance, mercy, and healing. The Quran is a blessing, within reach.

I find it to be very interesting and educational so far. I have read only a small part but will read it all and learn from what I read. We hear so much about the Quran but know so little. This is an easy translation which makes it possible to understand the basis of Islam. I am using it for a study group at my church.
Read it because I was interested in knowing about one of the major religions and because it is often unjustly vilified. Christians should read it, and would find out it contains many of the same stories as the Bible.
Although I am not a Muslim, there are times when I like to refer to the Quran, and I find this to be one of the more easily understood English translations.
I give it 5 stars because it is common English and therefore easy to understand. It has nothing to do with my own personal beliefs. I read it purely for research purposes.
Very easy to read. A good learning experience. Good book in which to become acquainted with the Quran. Recommended to all.
I needed this for my studies. It's in clear English on par with the Christian Bible's ESV version. As far as the mistakes on Christian
"Trinity Doctrine" in Sura 4 and 5 as well as many others, an understanding of Islam is very needed in today's world. Sura 2191, 812, 96, 929+30 are also great points to consider. As far as being "inspired" the reader should make their own choice, but remember after Mohammad's death, Uthman gathered the Quarn's parts he felt were correct and BURNED the rest. Let the reader make their own thoughts...well worth the read however.
It's a great read and a good translation. My only complaint is that certain "verses" ect. seemed to be over-simplified compared to some other English translations. Kind of reminds me of the "New American Standard" Bibles that are essentially rewordings of prior translations. However it is still a excellent read especially if you've never read the parts of the Quran and are curious about the religion. Personally I do prefer some other tranlations available on the internet.
